Cake classes

Our cake classes will end this Saturday. We have learned to make many kinds of flowers. On Saturday we will be learning the basket weave and rope technique--so our cake will look like a basket and we will put our flowers on top. We also learned to make and use color flow icing. We made the birds below with this. I am going to attempt to make longhorns by using color flow icing for Matt's birthday cake. We will see how it turns out.

June will be turning one next month!!! I can't believe it. She is talking so much. Here are a few words she says: Dada, cow, dog, cat, bear, ball, bath, bottle, bye-bye, duck, brush, milk, hey, book, sock, shoe and clock.

She loves bubbles!

June on the go!

June started crawling last Saturday. She goes ALL over the house. She loves the cow she is holding. It goes everywhere with her. It made Matt so proud--June's second word was cow!

George's Birthday

This cake was so heavy. It was made with two cake mixes and four batches of icing (12 cups of icing). I filled the cake with chocolate almond flavored icing with crushed almonds in it.

Aunt Mary's Birthday

My kitchen in a big mess--I can't believe all the dishes that go along with making icing and a cake. I made Matt's Aunt Mary's birthday cake.

Wilton Cake Decorating Classes

I started taking cake classes at Hobby Lobby in Hammond this month. My friend, Shelley, is taking it with me. We made the rainbow cake in our second class. Our third class we decorated cupcakes. This is so much fun. I am planning on making June's birthday cake!

Dresses

We had soooo much fun learning to sew these dresses with our friends in New Orleans. Thank you so much Jennifer for teaching me. June looked so cute in the cat dress!

New Years in New Orleans

We went to Fulton Street in New Orleans with the Guberts.
