New Job

I started working at Heritage Manor Nursing Home this summer as a speech-language pathologist. I love it! Here are some pictures of me in my scrubs--I wish I could wear these in the school system--they are soooo comfortable.

Fishing Trip

Matt and I went fishing with Matt's dad and Raymond Myers this past Friday. We went to the Rigolet's--I had never been there before--but everything was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. There was nothing left standing. Hurricane debris was still every where. We got up at 3:30 AM!--I can't believe it either. The sun was just coming up when we got on the water. It was so pretty. The weather was great! I caught the most fish and Matt caught the 2 biggest. Matt's dad wrestled with a bull shark forever--but it got off the hook.

X-Fuge 2007

X-Fuge was in Panama City, FL. Our praise band was BIG DADDY WEAVE!!!! I had no idea that they were going to be there. They were great! The first two days we when to a Boys and Girls Club to do mission work. This was not a Christian association. We rotated with a group of kids participated in any activities they were doing. This was a great experience for the youth-They showed the kids the love of Christ. The third day our mission trip was at a RV Campgrounds--we did a day camp for the kids that were there. My group of girls were in charge of sharing the plan of salvation. We made posters and used a story dialog to share this. Below is a picture of the girls in action.

VBS 2007 (Game Day Sports) Me and my friend Jennifer organized grades 1st-6th crafts. I had more pictures of the craft room--but I some how erased them--It was decorated so cute. We averaged about 30-50 kids in a group--It was a lot of hard work--but it was fun!

Garden Growth

Our garden has really taken off. The pictures I last posted of the garden where taken before we went to Texas. We should have veges soon!

Mother's Day 2007

On Saturday--We had a crawfish/shrimp boil at the house for Mother's day and for Graduation. It has become a tradition to go fishing after church on Mother's Day. As you can see we got rained out--but is was fun while it lasted.

These are my Texas cookies.

Texas Trip

Here are a few pictures of our trip to Texas. We visited San Marcos, Johnson City, Marble Falls, Fredericksburg, and Buda Texas. While we were there we stayed at the Rosenberger's Ranch--Which had two refurbished cabins from the 1820's overlooking the Pedernales River. We were able to see wild goats, deer, a road runner, and a wild pig. This was the perfect time to visit Texas--all the wildflowers were in full bloom. We also went to Cabele's, Bass Pro Shop, San Marcos Outlet malls, and of course a longhorn sale.

Dirt Cheap Furniture Finds

I've been looking for some furniture to match our daybed. I got both of these pieces at Dirt Cheap for less than $100.

Everything is blooming!!!

Sunday afternoon--Matt and I worked in the garden. Here is a picture of my new pink rubber boots Matt bought me to wear to longhorn sales. Our garden has really taken off.

We planted corn, butter beans, squash, eggplant, red beans, green onions, okra and bell peppers.
